Join in a fun and friendly Charity Gala night at one of Coventry’s best known restaurants. Midlands Businesswoman of the Year Dorian Chan is happy to welcome you to the Wing Wah on Fletchamstead Highway ready for a night of feasting and fun hosted by Touch FM Radio.
International costumes from the vibrant multi-cultural community in Coventry will be shared with you on the catwalk. We hope that you will be encouraged to wear your celebration costume to the event too! This evening is a great celebration for the recipients of the Women of Achievement awards, generously sponsored West Orchards and Modus.
Music is being provided by Decatone who are sure to get you moving even after you have feasted on all you can eat from the delectable buffet!
The tickets are being sold on a first come, first served basis – sorry, no refunds possible. We hope to raise a lot of money for the Coventry Myton Hospice through ticket sales and a raffle on the night, so come along, bring your friends and be part of the fun!!
The Coventry Myton Hospice Appeal is a campaign to raise £5M to build and equip a new hospice in Coventry. A shortfall of between 20-25 hospice beds in the Coventry and Warwickshire area has existed for many years. As such, Coventry Health Authority first approached the Trustees and Management of Myton Hospice in May 2000 to consider opening an additional hospice within the City. After much discussion an agreement was reached in May 2001 between Myton Hospice and all parts of the local NHS organisation for Myton to undertake the task of raising the funds to build and operate a new hospice. It was agreed that the new hospice could be situated on a private area of the site of the new University Hospital – Walsgrave, which is itself due to open in 2006.
The new hospice will be run and managed by Myton Hospice who have been serving the people of Coventry and Warwickshire for over 20 years. The hospice will provide a number of facilities but will mainly comprise of a 20-bed in-patient unit and a day hospice for up to 15 patients a day. Although the hospice will be located in Coventry, it will benefit all of the people of Coventry and Warwickshire by easing the pressure on the over-stretched facilities that already exist at Myton in Warwick.
This year Featuring a Band from Latin America!
